Here at Gasper River Kennels, we take pride in breeding outstanding hunting and family companions. Our dogs are all hunted on wild birds from the fields and thickets of Kentucky on wild Bob White Quail to the Plains and wheat fields of Montana on Sharp tail grouse, Hungarian Partridge and Ring neck pheasants. I purchased a lewellen setter pup from grasper kennel a year ago. It is a male pup ,he is real nice. He is a beautiful dog with lots desire. He was a natural in the yard and field. He has a lot of drive in the field and is easy to handle. A very nice dog based on having dogs for over 40 years. Jeff also went way out of his way to help me get the pup me living in Oklahoma and him in Kentucky. I rate him as a triple a breeder. He did everything he said and more,rare this day and time

Well worth the 4 hour drive to pick up a Llewellin. Great breeder with great dogs. You know you are dealing with a good breeder when they tell you to keep in touch because he cares about the dogs well being.

I would completely agree with Jeff's description...outstanding hunting and family companions. We got a Llewellin Setter from Jeff a little over a year ago and could not be happier (she was 11 weeks). Now, I am nagging my husband to get another pup from Jeff. Our Llewellin is a perfect family dog. We take her everywhere from city to the country. She is an outstanding hunting dog, and has taught my husband a thing or two about bird hunting (my husband's first bird dog). Jeff raises amazing dogs and I could not speak higher about his product. He has done his homework and knows what he is breeding to get the best product. Out Llewellin has a great temperament, always likes to be with you, and her "birdiness" is spot on. We also sent our dog back to Jeff for training, and he always is willing to offer advice to my husband being a first time bird hunter. Jeff is a great guy who breeds outstanding dogs.
