Lake Monroe Kennels - Indiana German Shorthaired Pointer Breeders

We are a small family kennel specializing in German Shorthaired Pointers (GSP) training and breeding versatile hunting (upland, waterfowl, deer tracking) and family (agility, show, Dock Dogs, 4-H) dogs. Our breeding efforts emphasize the famed Shooting Starr GSP line with direct Championship representation in our dogs and proven individual hunting capability through AKC and NAVHDA testing and hunting throughout the country. We live to train, hunt and play with our dogs. Our children have proven great socialization skills and training capability within our dogs participating in county 4-H obedience, showmanship and agility winning Grand Championships in all events and placing high in state competition. All dogs within our kennel are involved in NAVHDA testing attaining "Prize 1" in Natural Ability and Utility events including a Versatile Champion Title. Evidence of our successful breeding program include numerous NAVHDA Breeders’ awards. We utilize the "Misty Method" to assure great health, development and initial potty training in whelping our puppies. We also utilize military proven neurological stimulation within the first weeks of our puppies to maximize enhanced genetic capabilities and performance. Our dogs are intelligent, loyal, loving, hunting and family companions!
