Feather Haven Chesapeakes & Training Kennels - Indiana Chesapeake Bay Retriever Breeders

Feather Haven is a training kennel and breeder of dual titled Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.  Owner and Sole Proprietor Daphne Black has over 15 years of experience in handling and training dogs.  She is a hunter herself and has acquired AKC titles in the hunt testing, obedience and conformation programs.  Her focus is on obedience and gundog training, with obedience offered to all breeds of dogs 3 month of age and up, gundog training for retrievers, pointers, and flushing breeds, specializing in retriever training ranging from the hunting companion to those interested in field testing.   

Located on 50 acres near North Webster, Indiana about 45 minutes northwest of Fort Wayne and access to several hundred more acres of land and water, Feather Haven has the ability to acclimate each dog it takes in too many different type of hunting situations.

Home of two Champion Master Hunters, a Certified Therapy Dog, and several other AKC titled dogs, Feather Haven has also produced numerous hunting dogs and many wonderful family companions.  Taking pride in its breeding program geared toward producing well tempered, properly conformed, naturally talent hunting and testing dogs, we believes in quality over quantity and do only a few selective breedings each year.
