About Cross Creek Kennels

We hunt our show dogs. We have champions in the field and in the show ring.

We have AKC Brittany puppies available. These puppies are bred and raised by a licensed, practicing veterinarian. Please visit my website for more information and full pedigree's of both parents and information about us. These puppies will be registered with AKC (American Kennel Club). The puppies have had their dew claws removed and their tails docked. When they are ready to go they will be up to date on vaccinations and have been dewormed 3 times with a negative stool sample. We feed our puppies Proplan chicken and rice puppy food. Canine puppy food gives your puppy the health benefits of a high quality, balanced formula with a taste your puppy will love.  We have orange and white puppies available. We have liver and white puppies available as well. We hunt our showdogs. Field and show champion lines. Vet checked, ofa and eye cert. We have been breeding AKC sporting dogs for 30 years. Visit our website at for pictures of all available puppies, email me at or call to reserve your puppy at 812-941-1716

I graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and have worked with small animals and horses since then. I operate a house call practice, perform relief work at a local clinic, and work at the Harrison County Animal Shelter. My husband was in the Air Force and as we were stationed all around the world, I accumulated licenses in seven different States and worked in England and Korea. I am an active member in State and National veterinary medical associations, a member of the Society of Theriogenlogy, and a member of the Academy of Excellence. I am active in the American Brittany Club and volunteer as their show veterinarian at the Nationals in Arkansas every November

My love is my show/field dogs. We are now active in both the show ring and at the field trials as our focus has become oriented toward dual dogs. A Dual Champion has earned a championship in both the show ring and at field trials. Our goal is to improve the breed and to have them do what they were originally bred to do: be a family dog and hunting companion.

My aunts decided to get a Brittany puppy after having larger Airedale’s for many years. They had researched the breed and breeders and decided on cross creek. My aunts lived in North Carolina on a 200 acre farm. Maggie, born 12/29/04 was a perfect loving, inquisitive, friendly pup for them and also served as their companion through their elderly years. Since their passing, Maggie has come to live with me and a house full of assorted cats and dogs. She continues to love life and be a true companion.

We love Cross Creek Brittanys! Dr. Pepin is a wonderful breeder; she is mega-experienced, as she is also a licensed veterinarian who puts out beautiful, intelligent and affectionate pups. We loved our first guy so much, that we bought a female 45 days later! My husband thought I was crazy, but her dogs are just the best that potty training two at the same time was more than worth the effort, lol. Now hubby says he can't imagine us with just one of them~they are such great companions, to each other and especially our whole family. If you are looking for a Brittany, she is the one to go visit! You won't regret it.

Dr Pepin really cares about the quality of the Cross Creek line of Brittany. She cares about the puppies, making sure they are absolutely in the best health before going to their new homes. Topper is such a joy to have, he's intelligent, inquisitive, and bold. He loves water and brambles, and we are confident he's going to be great in the field. All I need to do is make a phone call to the office, and any questions get answered. As a vet, Dr. Pepin is caring and takes the time to explain what is going on. I like that she is upfront with everything in every way. Her staff are great at their jobs, going above and beyond, just like Dr. Pepin. I have so much respect for her as a breeder, a vet, and a person.

I absolutely love Dr Pepin. I met her years ago at Harrison Co Fairgrounds. She was doing a rabies clinic there and I had 5 animals. She had the patience of Job and was very reasonable. I decided then and there she would be my vet. I've been to her many times and as always, she is kind, patient and wonderful with my pets. I've referred everyone I know to her.

Dr Peppin breeds AMAZING dogs. Our brittany is just about to turn 1 this week and is one of the best dogs we have had. She works hard and plays hard and is an amazingly even tempered dog. I would reccommend her to anyone (and have several friends with dogs from her as well)

Best dog I have ever owned. She practically trains herself. Great hunter, great family dog, great friend and companion. Highly recommend Dr. Pepin's Brittany's.

I have not purchased a puppy from them but i have used Dr. Pepin as a vet many times and the care she takes of my animals makes me believe that her own must be wonderful. She has taken care of my 5 cats and 2 dogs for years and i have never had such a wonderful veterinarian.
