Post Oak Shorthairs - Illinois German Shorthaired Pointer Breeders

Post Oak Shorthairs is a small kennel located in south-central Illinois. We've hunted, raised and trained our own English Pointers for 14 plus years and, although we still have a couple of pointers, we are now focusing primarily on German Shorthair Pointer. Our bloodlines include Windrivers, Burr Oaks, Snips ticked off, Hillhaven's Hustler, Moesgard and others. The decision was made to start from the ground up to build our kennel and breeding program, so our litters will be limited until our bitches are of age and meet our standards and appropriate health and genetic standards. We strive to continue to produce german shorthair pointers with sound tempermant and quality gundogs for foot hunting and and foot trialing that are also great companions.
