Massac Creek Gundogs - Illinois American Water Spaniel Breeders

My family has owned AWS all my life. We always got them from my Uncle Butch in Wisconsin. Our last dog passed away the same year he did. After several years of a "no dog " home, we decided to look for an AWS breeder. We were immediately impressed with the knowledge and personality of Jared English, and purchased "Hershey", arriving at 9 wks. old. This turned out to be love at first site.
This lovable, sociable "little brown dog" has stolen the hearts of everyone, including owners sworn to other breeds. His attentiveness and willingness to please is second to none. And as for hunting ability, he has surpassed every Lab in the neighborhood, retrieving doubles and triples from fresh and salt water at 3 mos. of age. Water is his middle name (no pun intended). I see in Hershey a combination of all the water spaniels we have ever owned (I am 64). He is only 7 mos. now, and he will be hunting in a few days (upland game first here). I have no doubt he is going to continue to impress, and maybe even convert many local hunters. Thank you, Jared for allowing us to continue the great memories we have had with these wonderful, and often overlooked, American Water Spaniels.

Finley is proving to be an awesome AWS pup that is already retrieving toys and showing good signs of being an aggressive hunter; nose down and tail wagging where a few Mottled ducks were laying! Impressed with Jared and how the litter was raised_nurtured in a professional and loving family atmosphere. Good stride, coat and demeanor - great with the kids and will see how much she chews up in the next few weeks.
