I would like to say a few words about my dear friends Maty and Maria. I cannot remember for sure how long we have known each other but to me it seems like my whole life. Both of these wonderful ladies have my trust and admiration as well as friendship. I do, however, remember my first conversation with Maty. I could feel through the phone the love and admiration for the Weimaraner breed and the love she felt for Kodi, her male Weimy. She was looking for a female Weim and had seriously went through a terrible mess acquiring her Kodi. We talked for a very long time and I felt I could trust her in just that first conversation. I don't take the plunge with giving out FULL AKC registration as it is a huge commitment not only for the person getting the puppy but also the breeder providing this puppy. We both have to be invested in the future of not just the puppy but it's offspring as well. Each of us willing to do whatever it takes to be sure the offspring are placed in spectacular homes that are willing to cherish their new family member forever. There is much to learn about delivery/medication/breeding and puppy rearing when you consider becoming a breeder. I felt from talking to both Maty and Maria they were WELL WORTH my time and investment and trusting them with what I have been doing with my own dogs for 15 years. I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have made in my Weimaraner Career. They have cradled my babies and reared them well. Started them on birds, done obedience classes and learned from both our mistakes. They never hesitate to ask questions if they don't know the answer, taking notes diligently and seeking to know more and more as their breeding career progresses. They now have 3 PM fur kids and all 3 are well rounded dogs. Well one fur kid, Sammy, is still growing up but they are doing a fine job with her as well.
Just this past year, Oct. 2007 I received a gift from Maty and Maria. Our little PM's Sandpiper Joy! She is the result of their Silver and Kodi mating. I have to say when she arrived she was in perfect health and very well socialized. We are extremely happy with her looks, temperament and drive in the field. These ladies are doing a tremendous justice to the breed. I would recommend to any puppy seeker a puppy from their dogs. They screen potential homes and give advice and information about the breed with heartfelt honesty.
Maty and Maria...Thank You for your friendship and love for our breed; The Weimaraner. Anyone lucky enough to get a puppy from you will soon know and feel your sincere admiration and knowledge of the breed. They will get a healthy, socialized, loving new member of their family that fits in from the very moment they bring him/her home.
