My wife and I were given one of Gulf Waters' Chessies as a wedding gift from my parents. We could not have gotten any more lucky with our breeder. Carolyn and George are like family. Carolyn was always there for us, before and after we purchased our puppy. Chessies were a new breed for us and we needed advice sometimes, which Carolyn was happy to provide. Our girl is eight now, and I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Carolyn if needed. She stands behind her puppies!

My wife Jayne and I have had the good fortune to know George and Carolyn Johnson for a number of years as we have participated in Dog Shows across the Southeastern U.S. George and Carolyn are exceptional people and they are wonderful ambassadors of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever breed. In addition, we have gotten to know all of their GulfWater kennel dogs and even added one to our pack. Our boy Briggs from GulfWater is the sweetest male CBR we have known and his health and disposition are exceptional. In addition, he earned his AKC championship on his first birthday. He has also sired an exceptional litter for our own kennel and I would recommend the quality and disposition of GulfWater pups without hesitation.
