Colorado's Premier German Shorthaired Pointer kennel!
In 2012 I retired from training for the public after a successful field trial career. After some time off, Sixxem Kennels is back with a focus on breeding high quality GSP's for competition and serious hunting homes. We will be training and competing our own dogs for hunting, AKC Field Trials, AKC Hunt tests, and NGSPA Hour Championships. We have some of the top GSP bloodlines in the country and all our dogs are proven in competition and as wild bird dogs before they enter our breeding program. Puppies, Started Dogs, and Finished dogs are regularly available.
Owner/Trainer Lenny Morales has over 18 years experience training all pointing breeds. He has successfully trained dogs to championship level in multiple organizations and dogs that he has developed have received awards at the local, regional, and national championship level. He has the understanding of what it takes to win and a program designed to bring the best out in every dog.

I just got my first GSP pup from Lenny. He is very affectionate and is extremely well mannered for such a young pup. We couldn't have asked for a better puppy. I have not had the same experience with other pups I have gotten from several CO breeders. Life with this pup is a breeze. Lenny knows the dogs he breeds and thus knows what traits he will get from each litter. I feel a lot of breeders just breed dogs without a goal or reason.
I look forward to many days in the field and at home with our new little addition.

Honesty, integrity, patience, attention to detail, and dependability.These are all words that come to mind that someone looking to buy a quality hunting pup really wants to experience and find in a breeder (in my opinion).
Lenny was all of this and more. Couldn't be happier with my experience and with my new pup. So far the pup is very social, very quiet while traveling, and loves to retrieve. Mark and I purchased our new pup from Lenny and he was very responsive in answering questions, sending over pictures, pedigrees, etc. Gunner (Junior) is an absolute sweetheart! He will make an incredible stud dog and hunting partner with his lines and personality.Thanks Lenny for producing such high quality puppies!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Sixxem Kennels and especially Lenny. Not only do i have a dog with Lenny now but i have also had the pleasure of being around him at a couple trials. The way he interacts with the dogs is like art, so incredible to watch. He knows his dogs and knows whats best for the dogs and there personalities. Lenny is a very honest man and will always give you his honest opinion. Over all i am incredibly happy with Sixxem Sporting Dogs for there hard work and knowledge in the sporting dog world. I got a little pup from Lenny almost two years ago, amazing dog. Killed who knows how many chukar and huns over her this year. Very natural and easy to work with. I would recommend Lenny to anyone looking for a serious hunting or trial dog.Josh Sutherland

Lenny Morales/Sixxem Sporting Dogs is the real deal. I have been to his kennels and never seen such a talented string of bird dogs. Lenny is more than capable when it comes to training dogs of all ages, personality types, etc. as well as breeding a legit field trial prospect and wild bird dog. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the results of my dog after a season with Lenny. When I dropped her off she was a rank, black-hearted derby and when I picked her up from Lenny she was a polished broke dog with flawless bird work, handled easy, and went with me. I have been impressed with Lenny as a trainer, handler, and breeder. He is honest and hard working. Much respect goes to Lenny and the Sixxem operation. We chose this kennel because of how reputable his website was. The next step was calling Lenny on the phone and we were very pleased about how welcoming and knowledgeable he was about the GSP breed. We are from Vermont and the process was very easy, he was very familiar with flying dog's and also kept us updated with photos until our dog arrived to us. Our dog has an amazing sense for birds, from day 1 he has been all we can ask for from a hunting dog. Lenny breeds to have the ultimate dog and we are very thankful to have one of his pups!
