My wife and I were looking for our first hunting dog, and after countless hours of research, we found the Fuerniss family and their puppies. I had a few calls with Cam and we were able to spend quite a bit of time talking about the pups and training. We met our amazing puppy, Charlotte, and we were able to spend two hours with her at their house. They had her working with live birds for 5 weeks! Charlotte has an incredible drive and we could not be more happy with our decision. Charlotte lives for hunting but has a great demeanor with our other dogs. She is a very happy girl who loves to play, but when we go hunting, she turns into a machine. Cam and his wife are amazing and we would highly recommend them!

We found GunDog Breeders in Loveland in June 2024 and were immediately impressed. They responded quickly and welcomed us to meet their last available pup from Carly’s first litter. Cam was fantastic, showing us what the puppy had already learned and answering all our questions as first-time hunting dog owners.

We fell in love and brought home Charlotte, who has been an amazing addition to our family. The Fuerniss family raises incredible, well-trained hunting dogs, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-quality pup!

We have visited with the Fuerniss’s twice and are so impressed with them as honest people of integrity wanting to match the dogs with the right people. Their facilities for the dogs are clean and organized and top notch from some of the others we have visited. The dogs are being trained on sitting, feathers etc and they are diligent at sending pictures and videos to keep us informed and involved. They are responsive and very helpful and all the yellow lab pups are actively pointing and looking for feathers. They all look healthy and clean and it will be hard to pick between them with so many good options!!

We’ve had a great experience getting to know the Fuerniss’s, their litter, and their Carly dog. I’ve been impressed with how Cam has trained Carly. She is an upland bird hunting machine. Cam also guides upland bird hunts. I am excited to get a pup from this littler. It will have some extraordinary pups come out of it. Cam has already started giving the pups experience on feathers and live birds. Cam is always helpful and takes the time to answer questions, send videos, and give information on how the pups are progressing.

I have had more awesome dogs than any one man deserves. I decided it was time to get a pup so he could have some time with my aging lab, and get to learn some good things from an already proven great dog. When I saw the pedigree of this breeding, it was as if God was talking to me. This is where my new pup was coming from! Absolutely stacked pedigree on both sides. Cam and his wife have kept constant communication with their clients. Lots of videos. They have worked very hard with this litter, to help them reach their potential. Wings, tails and even live birds at 5 weeks! Pups are already making solid points! They have spent countless hours socializing them. The setup is in their home, and I feel so good about the way they’ve been raised and treated. Very clean, lots of love. I think I’d be hard pressed to have found a better situation. I trust I’m about to have one more rock star dog than any one man deserves.

These pups are amazing and all their work is making for some tough choices for us.

The socialization and introduction to birds is paying off and I can’t wait to work with our puppy.
