Living in the country on a farm we have plenty of room for dogs and Labradors have been my choice. It always starts with that 1 great dog and Pepper, our black lab was that. She was a hunting fool and the best family dog 2 little girls could ask for. There have been a few other breeds brought home over the years but always the constant Lab as my companion. So begins the many years of work and enjoyment from our labs. When I retired from pharmacy 4 years ago my husband and I decided that it was the right time for us to start breeding, a dream of mine. We searched and researched pedigrees looking for that mix of hunting instinct and family pet. Making a few mistakes along the way but learning all the time. And now our first litter is on the ground and I am marveled by these little bundles of energy being so well taken care of by new mom Abby.
