LeRoy Merrell's Kennel - California German Shorthaired Pointer Breeders

I have gotten GSP's from Leroy Merrell for 30+ years. The breeding is amazing and I have 8 Merrell GSP's buried in my property under an olive tree. These all lived from 12 to 16 years of age and only lost one at 12 the rest were 14 t0 16. Leroy selected most of my pups for me and matched us perfectly with the pup. I used to field trial but bird hunting with the dogs is different and a different set of rules. Stamina, coming from early training and that deep chest lets them hunt all day in decent conditions. Very intelligent and they get more bird wise as the years and seasons go by . As the stamina receeds in the mature years the bird wisdom from those seasons past come into play. They just adapt ,and watching this life cycle many times over and learning with it have been one of the most enjoyable times of my life.So, if you want a great dog from a top quality kennel and trained by one of the best, most experienced dog trainers out there, Leroy is your man.
