I had a new hunter in our group of four and did a 20 pheasant package for $120 per person. The owner had us shoot clays for a while till we felt comfortable (free). Our guides name was Lenny that hunted two English Setters and then a pointer for the second half of our hunt. Dogs were amazing and Lenny was easy going. We were in a big field with a hedgerow in the middle and good cover. The birds few great (they were from Trice or Trace) no runners and exploded from cover. Lot's of natural cover that was easily walkable with mowed paths. Lenny cleaned our birds in a nice clean facility and packaged them from our trip back to PA. Shoot 4 chukar and were not charged. Had a great time and would recomend Marshtown to anyone. Hunted the afternoon and started too late. If you go in the afternoon, start before 1:00. |
