Walker is from the first breeding I ever did. His dam is my old girl 'Sydney' and his sire is a dog named 'Brave.'
Sydney was born an 'old soul.' She is a wonderful 'go with the flow' type of girl who really spoiled me with her easy disposition and willingness to do anything asked of her. She was the first dog I ever do any type of competition with. She made things look easy and was a great 'first dog' for me. She is currently 14.5 years old and in pretty good shape!
Brave was a male out in California. He (to my knowledge) is the only Chesapeake to have earned a Championship title, a Utility Dog obedience title, a Master Hunter title, an Excellent (standard) Agility title, and placed in a field trial.
I wish I had known more about training when Walker was a younger dog as he really was 'cheated' by my lack of knowledge. As an older dog he has shown he could have excelled in so many different venues such as hunt tests, agility, and obedience.
But where I 'failed' in training Walker, his offspring have picked up the slack!
Walker to date has only been bred three times. In those three breedings he has produced:
3 AKC breed Champions
4 UKC breed Champions
2 AKC Senior Hunters
1 UKC Hunting Retriever Champion
1 UKC Upland Hunter
2 UKC Started Hunting Retrievers
3 AKC Rally Excellent
2 UKC Rally level 3
1 AKC Rally Advanced
1 AKC Rally Novice
1 AKC Open Obedience
1 AKC Novice Obedience
1 UKC Novice Obedience
1 AKC Tracking Dog
4 Dock Jumping Dogs
And a dog that went to the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge!
Walker has a great temperament and is the head of the 'welcoming committee' at the farm! People who own his puppies can't say enough good things about them.

Violet is out of the second breeding I did with her mother, Brier and a well known field trial dog named CH Clipper's Frozen Assets**, Freezer. Violet is a wild and wonderful girl who is smart as a whip and LOVES to retrieve! Violet and I are training for competing in AKC and UKC hunt tests this fall. She has been ready for compititions, but has been sidelined to me breeding and having litters of pups. I have been wanting to finish up some other titles on some of my other girls before changing gears to running hunt tests. Although Violet would rather retrieve then do do any other activity, she has complied with my request of doing Rally. She finished her AKC Rally Novice title 3 for 3 and was in the placements each time! She has also competed in UKC Rally level 1 and went 3 for 3 with placements for all three legs and went High In Trial beating out over 40 other dogs competing in all levels of Rally at one trial! She has shown in conformation and has wins with a Group 3 in UKC and has gone Reserve in each of the AKC shows she has competed in. Violet (and her mother) is the first Chesapeakes to earn a Coursing Advanced title and she is currently (as of 4/15/13) needing only 2 qualifying runs to become the first AKC Coursing Excellent Chesapeake! Whatever Violet competes in she does it with gusto! She is always willing to learn new things and I have no doubt that she will succeed in ANY venue I put her in!
I am planning on doing this breeding early 2014.
We have already started taking deposits for this litter.
We do require all potential buyers of pups to come out to the farm to meet the dogs as a prerequsit to giving a deposit.
WHY do we do this? We feel if you do not like Walker or Violet then you most likely will not like the pups they produce!
