About M & W Gun Dog Training

Mike has been training bird dogs professionally for 22 years. He spent the first 4 years training with Hoppy Hopson at Hoppy's Kennel near Decatur, Texas. Mike is one of a few trainers able to finish a dog that would meet Hoppy's high standards. Mike continues to train dogs with the techniques he learned from working with Hoppy, producing fine hunting dogs for the bird hunter or amateur handler.

We breed one litter of Brittany puppies a year. Our next litter will be due around July 4th, 2010. You can find information on this litter on our website: www.quaildog.com.
