About Classic Gundogs
Classic Gundogs specializes in breeding and training exceptional German Shorthaired Pointers. Our Shorthairs are part of the family but also are fully trained, instinctive hunters. Most of our hunts are for native Bob White Quail here in Texas. Our pups are bred to be quick learners with biddable dispositions and plenty of natural hunting instinct. Our German Shorthaired Pointer pups will be intelligent, well mannered bird dogs with a strong desire to please. Their superior on/off switches will make them work hard in the field on wild birds and happy companions at home with the family. We take great care of our puppies. They are kept in clean environments, are parasite free, and current on vaccinations. All puppies are handled daily and when old enough allowed to get out of their kennels to roam and play in a natural environment. When old enough they'll be exposed to water and live birds. Special attention is given to their early development. We want their dispositions and personalities to equal their distinctive good looks. Call, email or text for current or upcoming litters.

Tom has a great set of dogs and is very accommodating for visits and litter choice/reservation. Had set aside multiple rooms for socialization to pick the right pup. Our female is ~40 lbs at 2 years. By instinct was pointing at 5 weeks when we visited and now quartering fields without much help. Successfully flushed quail and retrieved duck after training. Would highly recommend.
