I am an avid pheasant hunter living in NE South Dakota. 4 years ago I purchased Mika my female vizsla. I have nevered enjoyed upland game bird hunting more then when hunting behind a vizsla. Mika has a very good nose and holds her point till I jump the bird. She is also excellent at finding downed and wounded birds. I can see why so many commercial hunting operations use them. In fact Mika's dam and sire work at commercial pheasant hunting operations in Webster SD and Frederick SD.
Mika was mated with Atilla, a big rangy male vizsla of Mark Pfeifer, a breeder from Lidgerwood ND. Both are AKC registered with pedigree available. Both have had their hips xrayed and okayed by the OFA.
On June 21, 2016 Mika had a litter of 6 big healthy pups, 2 males and 4 females. With their pedigree they should be great hunters. They should be ready for new homes on Aug 18, 2016, Presently there are 3 unspoken for. Both male and females are available. Asking $1000.
