About Hay Devil Gundogs
We have been very happy with our August 2011 litter from the breeding of Cedarwoods Foxy Lady and Cedarwoods First Offense. So much so that we intend to repeat this breeding in Summer 2012. We subscribe to the strict breeding standards of the North American Pudelpointer Alliance. (www.pudelpointer.org). Our Dam (pictured here) is Cedarwoods Foxy Lady. She earned NA Prize I, 112 pts at 5 months of age. Foxy found, pointed and retrieved at 7 months. She has tremendous affection and house manners, and was an outstanding mother to her first litter. She has very strong prey drive, intense water work and great nose. The sire is Cedarwoods First Offense (Tukr), owned by Bob Farris of Idaho. He earned NA Prize I, UT Prize II. Tukr is the breed's all time top- producing male. Two out of three of his puppies earn a Prize I in NAVHDA natural ability testing. Tukr has a smoother, darker coat with lighter furnishings, so we have pups with both coat types. To read more about why Bob Farris advised us on this sire as a great match for Foxy, see http://cedarwoodgundogs.com/articles/dec2007.pdf. Our pups are raised on our Century farm with lots exposure to kids, visitors, animals, and the sights and sounds of an active farm operation. To reserve a pup from our next litter, please call Pierre or Linda at 712.490.7651.

My wife and I cannot say enough about our experience with Linda and Pierre at Hay Devil. I am a dog trainer and live in North Carolina, so I was unable to travel to pick out the dog myself. This is my first gun dog; I typically train military/police canines. I provided Linda with a description of what I wanted in a hunting dog and she delivered. Jaeger has more energy and drive that most people would want, but that is exactly what I asked for :). Getting the dog to us was also an easy process as Linda accommodated our schedule to allow us to pick the dog up at the airport at the most convenient time available. I would highly recommend Hay Devil to anyone looking to purchase a quality pudel pointer.

fantastic experience. linda and pierre did a great job picking out a pup for as i couldnt travel to see them for myself. the socialization work, temperament profile and help with delivery all exceeded my expectations. they accepted my constant need for pictures and updates without frustration. i really cant explain in words how happy i am with the whole expereince. "stout" is happy, healthy and ponting my chickens already. he fetched the day we picked him up (albeit inconsistently) at 7 weeks! he is pointing the wing on a rod every day now. he can sit for a few seconds with verbal command. he's only eight weeks! he has adusted to our 4 kids, cat, and 6 year old griffon extremely well and is exactly what i was looking for.

thank you again linda and pierre. so far the great lines and incredible job you guys did with him in his infancy have added up to a fantastic companion...
