About Uplander Kennels
I bring over 30 years of training, hunting, trialing and judging in Canada and the U.S.A. to the table. My experience includes most of the pointing breeds although I have 1 setter and 1 pointer.
My methods are more atuned to coaching rather than training. I pride myself in being able to bring out the best in any bird dog. My reputation supports that!

Submitted by: sam turco on Jan 23, 2016I took a chance not knowing anything to do with training a Brittany to be a great pointing dog.I was told to try Uplander kennels ( Ugo Pennacchietti ) I'm in my 50s and have never met a human being that takes so much pride in what he does. My Brittany went there knowing nothing and came out a finished dog. It's not me that's saying this but people that been hunting upland birds for forever. They have all said that I have a well trained unbelievable dog. I've been to his place to help him during his daily training sessions and what I witnessed was a man that treats all the dogs with love. Hence they never want to leave and they always want to go back. He's paid and my dog is finished and when I book a game farm like I've done in the last 3 weeks I mention it to him and he's there. WOW not in it for the money which is always good, but mainly for the love and passion. I would recommend Ugo 1 million percent....don't look at where you can get a good deal look at what you will get for the money you spend.
Submitted by: Trish Evans on Apr 17, 2015The first day I met this gentle man quite a few years ago now, he was my Judge at a Hunt Test. I had not competed with a dog in years in the field and was pretty nervous although I knew I had a good dog under me but perhaps not one that would not easily be accepted on the soil of a hunt test in Canada. This man made me immediately comfortable as he treated me with respect and seemed to understand that I did understand Bird Dogs. This is something I will always be so grateful for.
His passion for my german shorthair took over as we were heading up a hill towards the bird field and he was literally running after the dog and left me, the supposed handler, on the wrong side of the river! I laughed so hard. He simply saw a good bird dog and his passion took over as he wanted to watch him work in the field.
If you are interested in a pup or training from this kennel, I would highly recommend them as I cannot say enough about the great experiences we have now shared together and I am sure you would be pleased.
