We are the owners of Shadowpoint's The Citoris Gone (Tori). She is now 2 yr and 10 months and has excelled at field and trialing work. The youngest Shadowpoint dog to get her NAVHDA Utility title our female is also titled with CKC and WAC. (FD/FDJ and NRD). We cannot wait to see her first litter hit the ground running next spring. Super retriever on land and water with an excellent tracking capability, we enjoy hunting with her regularly. Thank you Bert and Marilyn for the genetics in this superb hunting Weim!!

Having trained with Bert and Marilyn and worked together on multiple litters, we can honestly say there is no other breeder in Canada as dedicated to producing true hunting Weimaraners as Shadowpoint. Their goal with every litter is to produce Weims that will be superior hunting companions, and who are healthy and will live a long happy life with their families. A fortunate by-product of this goal is that these Weims have what it takes to be successful in many field venues (and even non-field activities like skijoring!). You won't just get a pup from Shadowpoint, you'll get a lifetime of support and advice. We feel fortunate to consider them our mentors.

We highly recommend Shadowpoint Weimaraners as an exceptional breeder with dogs of excellent health, temperament and hunting instinct. Initially, our goal was to find a reputable breeder that not only had these fundamentals obvious in their dogs but who also had a passion and vast knowledge of this versatile breed. Shadowpoint Weimaraners has far surpassed our expectations. Our pup Symon (whelped May 2008 of Baron/Mattie), has far surpassed our expectations as well. He is extremely biddable - obedient, compliant, instinctively intelligent, highly trainable, eager to please, very well mannered, focused with a personality all his own. Not even a year yet, Symon has excelled in obedience, field work, tracking and conformation. A notable mention, Symon has an affectionate and protective bond with our toddler and at the same time, a passion for the field. His temperament is impeccable both in the home and in the field. Bert and Marilyn have been a wealth of knowledge and encouragement throughout the training process of not only Symon, but with us as well as we prepare for our first hunting season. This year holds many goals for Symon. He will test for NA, FDJ and tracking. We eagerly await our second Shadowpoint pup due March 2009!

I would highly recommend Shadowpoint Weimaraners to anyone looking for a Weimaraner bred from exceptional parents, with strong hunting and field-tested backgrounds. We are the privileged owners of Marvin, a 2007 pup sired by Storm. Bert and Marilyn eagerly invited us to visit with their dogs in the field to see them in action and from that first contact they have been a wealth of knowledge and support. Marvin has been a pleasure from the start. He is a great companion in the home and has excelled in his training in the field, obedience and agility. People often comment what a wonderful dog he is and what a great disposition he has. Last spring, Marvin and I completed the NAVHDA Natural Ability test with a Prize II (91), when he was 11 months of age. This was my first attempt at working with a field dog and Bert’s training and patience has been outstanding, as I required much more assistance than Marvin. As Marvin turns two this summer, we will begin our Utility training and hope to embark on his career in the conformation ring. After getting to know Bert and Marilyn, I have come to the conclusion that they are breeding for quality and that they are dedicated to seeing Weimaraners maintain their hunting ability and excel in what they were meant to do.

We are the proud owners of a Shadowpoint weimaraner. "Faye" is just over 10 months old and is everything we expected and more! She is young but has shown great protential in the field she has shown a strong drive coupled with the grace and elegance of a future champion. She has been a great addition to our young family and with our old dog and has fit in seamlessly.
Bert & Marilyn are exceptional people who are willing share their knowledge and experience, we found them to be most help with our questions and we are most gracoius for their help in getting Faye ready this spring for her NA.
Their breedings and dogs have a proven track record on the field. Their dogs are sound mentally and physically they are exceptional " birdie" and show a great eagerness to work, be it in the thicketts or retieving across a pond they and are a pure enjoyment to watch.
If you are looking for a fantastic hunting companion or trialing dog or new best friend. I suggest you take a long look at a Shadowpoint Weimaraner.

Our experience with Shadowpoint has been amazing. We met Bert and Marilyn at a sportsman show where they were representing NAVHDA and we fell in love with both them and there dogs. We recieved our puppy, Briggs, later that year and it has been a life changing experience for all of us. Briggs came home with us already well socialized with other puppies and people too, his drive and desire to hunt is awesome, and Briggs has taught me more in the field than I will ever teach him. The support and encouragement from Bert and Marilyn is outstanding. They have done everything they possibly can to help us with field work and training, to health care and emergency situations. Anyone looking for a truly versatile hunting dog from a Kennel with a rich history in field work would do well to contact Shadowpoint Weimaraners.
