Russell is an excellent trainer of Shorthairs and knows their demeanor very well. He is calm, cool and collected! He and his shorthairs are remarkable both on and off the field. I have two Buckeye Shorthairs from Russel's orginally breeding pair. My girls are the sisters to Zeus. They are awesome and hard hunters. Their noses are excellent and they have a strong innate ability to hunt em up, hold, and retrieve. They are such hunters that one of my girls bagged an eight point buck on her own one day during her romp time with her sister............now how did she know how to do that???? excellent genes!! Russel can tell you the story.... Anyway, my Buckeye girls have not failed me once. And Russell and Buckeye were always at hand to give me advice and still are.
