About Honore HilltopJohn Honore, who has been training hunting dogs for the past 57 years. A native from Denmark who made a choice between Blacksmith or Dog Trainer decided to stick with Dog Training. Over the years John with wife Nina owned and operated Honore Kennels for 30 years. John spent most of his time training hunting and field trial dogs. He has trained most hunting breeds, Labadors, Golden Retrievers, and German Shorthair Retrievers just to name a few. John won a field trial championship in 1974. Since then he and Nina semi retired started Honore Hilltop Shooting Preserve in Phillips, Nebraska where he continues to train hunting dogs to date. Ask anyone who knows him he is well known as a great Dog Trainer. Considered by many to be the best.
