Bitter Root Kennel - Missouri English Setter Breeders

There is one Bitter Root Kennel in Missouri, and this is it! This is the home of Mac's Banjo Brian and Tomoka Shades.

Kirk is the owner and trainer at Bitter Root. He has been around English Setters for 37 years now. It was always a dream of his to have a small kennel, and now it appears to have come true for him. This kennel was conceived with his patience and love for the English Setter breed. English Setter's have been the one and only dog for him throughout his life. His children and grandchildren have been raised around his dogs, so he knows they are not just great hunting dogs, but equally great coompanions. If you'd let them, they'd love to be lap dogs, but their size inhibits such.

Kirk knows his dogs, so the breeding at Bitter Root is carefully selected by bloodline. Hunting is their game. Twenty-six champions in the bloodline, so far! Mac's Banjo Brian is the sire, and Broker Blast Samantha is the Dam of latest litter. We have shipped, and still ship their puppies anywhwere in the USA. All puppies are sold with a health guarantee, and a current health record. There are three pups left from our 2007 litter of 8 puppies which were whelped on 11-05-07. Two males and one female. Two of our pups were shown on a local Denver TV station in January, 2008. We also have Started and Finished dogs. All of the dogs have pedigrees.

Bitter Root is a small kennel which has established a very good reputation with excellent bloodlines. These dogs have been bred for intelligence, and it shows. Their temperment is the best you will find anywhere. They are raised with love and discipline, which appears to be a fine combination for this breed.

This facility is beginning to grow, and hopes to be more readily available for you in the future; although we try to accomodate any need you have for a great bird dog at this time.
