My wife and I purchased a life changer from Jim Staupe last year 2008. I had read a lot about British labs and decided to check them out for myself - after visiting a few nice kennels in MN and talking with other people in the dog business who we now trust - we ended our search at Wild Slough. We are 101% pleased with our pup and overall experience.
Bailey is simply the best dog we have ever owned. This was her first year of hunting and she did so like a pro...My long time hunting partner has contacted Amy and Jim and he is in line to get a brother to Bailey. So next year we will have Barnum and Bailey! If you have ever saw us hunt this circus theme is perfect for us.

One year ago today our Wilson was born. In September 2007, we traveled to MN not to purchase a dog necesarily but called Jim at Wild Slough, he was so accomodating that he met us at an exit off the interstate (on our way out of town) so that we could meet the last 3 puppies of this litter. Frank fell in love with Wilson and from then on Wilson has been a very big part of our family. He has spent 3 months plus at a trainer in Bruce, SD (whom we would highly recomend). Wilson is a very loving, social dog with a huge personality, everyone loves him! He is a perfect family pet and a great bird dog. The saying is true...dogs are a man's best friend!

I bought a pup from Wild Slough British Labs. He has been an excellent hunter and a great companion. Jim was really helpful answering questions. The first time when I called he actually refered me to another breeder who he trusted since they had their current litter sold out. I decided to send in a deposit and wait for their next litter at Wild Slough and I'm sure happy I did.
So happy in fact, now I am currently waiting for another puppy from them once they breed their imported yellow male "Rocket".

I purchased a black lab from Jim Staupe at Wild Slough last September. I visted three kennels prior to findind Wild Slough. The cooperation and service I received was exceptional. I was extremely impressed how well kept the kennels were! I felt as though my new pup was bred in a good environment. Atlas is now 11 months old and he continues to surpass all my expectations! We recently completed obedience training and Atlas finished at the top of his class. Atlas is very well behaved and quick to learn new commands! I have received many compliments on his beautiful coat. He is a beautiful lab! I was fortunate to find Wild Slough and would be happy to recommend Jim Staupe to anyone considering to purchase a pup!

I have a British Lab from Wild Slough and could not be more happy with him. We searched for the right puppy for about 3 months and visited several other kennels. Wild Slough has a nice clean kennel, we visited twice with our 2 girls and it was no problem. I have recommended Jim and Amy to my friends and family. The thing people most often notice about our dog is how good looking and calm he is!!!
