 About Land 'O Lakes BoykinsWe are happy to offer our first liter of 2012 Boykins now for early next spring. These puppies are due any day during the middle of December 2011. They could be yours in perfect time to be trained the summer of 2012 and would be ready for the fall hunting season! Since this is a wonderful breed of dogs and there is a very large community of hunters in MN, we are the first breeder to directly extend the Boykin Spaniel into the upper Mid-West. We bought our male Boykin from J & C Boykin in OH about 4 years ago and our female from Bassingers out of Raleigh, NC about 3 years ago. We know once hunters in MN begin to see the versatility and natural hunting ability of the Boykin, they will be very happy to own a wonderful dog. They are knowledgable about the boykin spaniel breed and were very patient with our pup selection. We purchased a 7 week old male Boykin Spaniel and named him "Charlie". We are honored that they felt our family was worthy of Charlie. The kids can't keep their hands off of him so this will be a challenge, but fun at the same time. Charlie was able to go potty outside #1 and #2 within the first 20 minutes at home and is a good sign of things to come. We spend a lot of time in the outdoors, specifically at the various lakes in Minnesota, and Charlie will fit right in with our active family. |
