His mother was Helga. My husband did some hunting, but he is the first dog I raised from a puppy. He clings to my husband, picks up his shoe when he gets home and puts it in front of his food dish. Everyone who ever met him always liked him. Not sure how much longer he will be with us. Really, thinking about getting another one. Our granddaughter wants another "Rufus" when he is gone.
