Wind Wagon Retrievers - Kansas Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Labrador Retriever Breeders
About Wind Wagon Retrievers
Wind Wagon Retrievers strives to produce dogs with style, enthusiasm, and the confidence to make difficult retrieves and hunt in thick cover. We do this by giving your dog one-on-one time, fair and consistent training, and adapting to your dog's unique personality. We combine fresh ideas with tried-and-true practices. Our retriever training programs are based on being flexible and adapting to the dog's training level, talent, and temperament. This helps create an enthusiastic and happy dog with a strong foundation of training. We provide custom training for each and every retriever, as well as specializing in upland or waterfowl work. With fair and consistent training, every retriever can reach their full potential. Whether you own a retriever for competition or an all around hunting dog, we can customize our training to suit your dog. No matter what type of hunting you do, your dog should work with you, be confident, and eager to hunt. Our home training grounds are located near McLouth, Kansas, about 30 miles west of Kansas City. We provide training and boarding services on our 40 acres of private property, plus we have access to hundreds of acres nearby for both waterfowl and upland training. We have five technical training ponds on site which allows us to work dogs from beginning to advanced level concepts. The Crables have trained with and learned from several accomplished dog trainers throughout the Midwest who specialize in retriever hunt test, field trial, and gun dog training. Marion and Jeff work side-by-side, along with our full-time training assistant, TJ Greer, to give a different perspective to the training and teaching of your dog.

We received our 8 week old lab puppy from WWR one month ago. He seemed to know "Sit" and "Here" upon exiting the womb! In that short amount of time, Lucky has learned to fetch various objects to which he has learned the names, can hold a stay command (just several seconds so far), and seems to enjoy the water. He is a very active and vivacious little soul that is growing by leaps and bounds every week. My wife and I forsee good things for this dog and can't wait to see what he has in store for us! Jeff and Marion are pleasant people to work with and we would recommend their dogs to anyone.

I purchased a Hook & Teka pup from Wind Wagon Retrievers & I must say I've been more than satisfied w/ the little feller. At 13 weeks, Zero is showing a precocious side. He has proven to be a fast learner in obedience & marking. We've been able to begin simple doubles. He is willing without hesitation to jump over logs & other obstacles; he's also voluntarily jumped into water to swim for bumpers. Because Wind Wagon Retrievers made this breeding possible, I am able to have a pup that will grow into a competitive & accomplished dog. Thank you Wind River for making it possible for me to have & train a winner!
