About Arrowhead Kennels
As owners of Arrowhead Kennels we, Todd & Heather Sterrett, are happy to assist you with whatever your dog training or boarding needs are. We offer a variety of services for the hunting enthusiast and also offer top quality boarding care. Our training programs consist of gun dog/hunting dog training, AKC Hunt Test training and handling, and basic obedience training for most large breed dogs. Todd specializes in retriever training with mostly Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers.

Todd has been training hunting dogs for over 10 years and brings tremendous passion and knowledge of retrievers to his training approach. Todd participates in AKC Hunt Tests throughout the spring and summer, handling many client dogs and some of our own. We encourage you to come out for training sessions while your dog is being trained at Arrowhead Kennels. We believe the training process for you as a handler is just as important as the training your dog is receiving.

We also offer boarding, started dogs and occasional litters of Labrador Retriever puppies. Our boarding and training kennel was built in 2002 and we expanded our facility to accommodate additional boarding dogs in 2004. We are happy to care for any size dog while you are away. See our boarding section of the website for additional details on boarding your dog with Arrowhead Kennels. Check back on our site frequently for updates to our started dogs, puppies and hunt test results pages. We look forward to talking with you about your dog!

I purchased my Choclate lab from Todd in 2003. I met Todd in Des Moines since I live in Sioux City to pick him out of the three males he had remaining. Bear has been an excellant hunting companion great temperment. I hunt him on waterfowl and pheasants and I couldn't ask for a better dog. His first year at about 8 months I had him retrieving pheasants and was shocking my friends. At eight years old he is in his prime and the friends are always talking him up. When the time comes that I need a new pup I will be contacting Todd.
