I bought a fully trained almost 2 year old ESS from Ken in 2003, we had to put him down on July 7, 2017. His body was just wore out. I retired him at 10 although if I got my gun out he went to back door, even if I was just going Trap Shooting. Now after 14 years he's gone. Diamond was without a doubt the best Springer I ever owned. Yeah he was slow but so am I, Max my other ESS died at 9, he led the way, flushed and Diamond had a nose that was unreal. I can't remember ever losing a bird, no matter how far away: he'd hup at my shot and I'd say find the bird. Could be a sailer 100 yards he'd come back with it. God I miss that dog, and I'll get another but I'm going to follow the rules and wait. But Ken I will be calling probably in spring, I'm sitting out this fall.
If we could clone him. Never growled or snapped, messed in house, slept on my side of bed and between my feet. Never ran through house tore up anything. Great in and outside. Grandkids crawling on him he didn't care. Even took him to Psych Ward as a therapy dog at VA. Soldiers lining up to pet him.

Looked around for a trainer for my English Springer Spaniel. I was referred to Ken Willis by a breeder in Ohio. Took my dog to him for an evaluation and training. Ken tells you right out if your dog is a dud or lacking in some regard he will tell you so you are not throwing good money after bad. If the dog is a good hunting prospect he will nurture that. If the dog has traits that make it a good field trial prospect he will let you know. I found Ken to be experienced, forthright and honest - a real dog guy.

I searched and interviewed many trainers for my hunting companion. I found R-Quests Kennel website and contacted proffesional field trialer Ken Willis. I visited with Ken and he evaluated my pupppy and discussed a training program. I am very impressed on how well he trained my dog. I now have the best hunting companion thanks to R-Quests Kennel. To those interested in "Field Trials", I highly recommend R-Quests Kennels. Don't take my word for it visit R-Quests Kennel and see for yourself.

Thank you,

Ken has been training my Trial dogs for three years with excellent results. He puts all of his knowledge and resources into each dog he trains. He is very honest in what the dog is capable of and what he can get out of your hunting companion. If you are looking for a trainer for trials or Hunting companion he would be the first person I would recomend for the job.
