We are a small kennel in South West Idaho about forty miles East of Boise. Our dogs hunt Chucker, Quil and Pheasant five months of the year. Currently, we have two adult females. Both females are proven hunters. We raise two litters of pups a year and our puppies have proven to be awesome hunters. We started our breeding program in Kansas seven-teen years ago. We moved to Idaho in 2000 and continued our program. We continually upgrade our breeding program and strive for quality in our pups.
The pups are here and are they are awesome! We have two litters. They were born September 24th and 27th 2011. The parents are Bragen and Avery and Bragen and Birdie. Bragen was chosen as the sire for these pups due to the quality of his past litters. He retreives, honors and will not break point. Avery is a real athlete, she does it all. A fifteen month old pup from Bragen's and Avery's last litter was a finalist in last weeks hunting trial in Idaho. There were forty-eight dog entered and he was the youngest. There is one male and four females in this litter. A $100.00 deposit will hold your pup until they are ready for their new home. They will be ready around 10 November, 2011. Give me a call or come and visit. 208-587-7393 or 208-599-1773
Birdie is a wonderful dog to hunt behind. She will do anything ask of her. Very obedient and trusting. She does it all. She has three solid liver females and are they good looking pups.
For pictures of the pups give me a call or e-mail me!

My dog Tilamook. Purchased randomly from Cabelas parking lot by my wife for my birthday Oct. 2009. I have never met Mr. Bacon. Tilly is so bonded to our family. We take her everywhere. She is so perfectly mannored and exceptionally smart. A wonderful addition to our family. I am a novice hunter. 2010 I took Tilly Chukar hunting behind Arrowrock. I don't know what I'm doing. Tilly on the other hand naturally finds Chukars. She points them, holds them, waits for me to arrive, they flush, I shoot, and she retrieves the first time out! She is a machine on Chukars and Quail I'm telling you. This year, 2011, I'm hunting Pheasants at Parma WMA. Dense brush... Tilly hunts much closer. She gets busy in the bush unbelievably. Points a rooster in thick crap. I ask her to get it and she moves in. The rooter flushes and I shoot it over the snake river. Tilly doesn't like water, but she jumps in and retrieves to my feet. I wouldn't know how to train this behavior. She is a natural.

I would recommend to any novice, serious hunter or outdoorsman to High Desert Kennel. After extensive research and word of mouth, I purchased, Raphael, from the kennel while I was stationed in Germany. This breed was engineered for hunting. Mr. Bacon takes great care to ensure a quality breeding program that produces great pups.
