These male pups are comming along great. They did well pointing a Pheasant Wing tied to a string on a pole. Natural, instinctive talent is strong in these pups. I'm very happy with their natural talent. I am a breeder of quality field bred, NAVHDA proven Vizslas. My goal is to produce dogs with intense desire to find birds, intense points, and amazing retrieves. That's what you and I want in a bird dog, along with an easy to live with, biddable temperament 365 days of the year. I strive to use only parents that produce these qualities and have "ready to go" natural abilities. Wind River Vizslas is the home of NAVHDA proven dogs. The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association is my proving ground in breeding a truly great Vizsla. Our Wind River June of Seelye Brook Farm is a finished gun dog with perfect scores in both her Natural Ability Test and her 'finished gun dog' Utility Test. The Sire: Martinsen's West Bound has gone a step further in becoming the ultimate; an Invitational Champion. Both are very likeable dogs with endurance and desire to hunt all day long. They are the parents of our recent litter (see classified ad), born June 24th. I've owned and bred Vizslas since 1972. I LOVE Vizslas. I'm a fanatic about hunting upland birds; hunting September through January; Minnesota to Kansas. I need dogs that are always ready to go. There is no other breed for me. I've been a NAVHDA member since 1979 and almost as long with the Twin Cities Vizsla Club, both in Minnesota. I love the easy care and maintenance of this shorthaired breed. They LOVE people and are very attached to, and protective of their human family. In the field; your dog will come looking for you, rather than you having to go looking for him. They're not for everyone. A hard hand or loud voice is not necessary. They are extremely intelligent, handle easily, and respond to gentle persuasion. I've guided for 35 years, with my Vizslas, at the Ruffed Grouse Society's National Grouse and Woodcock Hunt in Grand Rapids Minnesota, helping to raise funds for habitat improvement. My dogs have been essential in teaching grade school kids about pointing dogs, and their use in conserving game, at the Natural Resources Week, in Anoka Minnesota. They are truly versatile dogs. Pups are born and raised in our home; handled from the time they're born, til they go to their new family. They're exposed to all the sights and sounds of living in the home. They're definitely family dogs that Excel in the field, to make an incredible hunting partner. Each pup comes with a contract providing health guarantee, and to be free of genetic defects. Parents are either OFA or Pennhip proven, hip dysplasia free. Wind River June of Seelye Brook Farm gave birth to three boys and five girls on June 24th. We are taking deposits. Pedigrees of the parents are available at vizsladatabase.com under their prospective names, OR copy paste the links below. I will be very happy to answer your questions or just talk about Vizslas.
