AKC/NAVHDA quality proven hunting GSP Puppies - German Shorthaired Pointers in Springfield, Missouri - Suma German Shorthaired Pointers

We are very excited to offer these amazing dual quality potential German Shorthaired Pointer Puppies to the selective bird hunter. These puppies should be able to do it all - upland, waterfowl, blood tracking, or just being fantastic family companions! We have a very small selection of males and females available. All puppies will be introduced to live birds between 5 and 6 weeks, with continuing exposure to water and potential field search opportunities before going home at 8-10 weeks of age. Puppies are raised in a family environment, in our home, and will be introduced to children and cats. Puppies will be temperament evaluated at 7 weeks of age to help with proper selection to approved families based on their needs. Puppies will go home with AKC registration, and optional NAVHDA paperwork. Puppy families will also get a free GSPCA membership for their first year. Puppies will also have one vaccine prior to going home, one full puppy health check with a negative fecal exam, and be microchipped (chips will be pre-enrolled with AKC Reunite).

"Garmin" lives with a 5 year old girl, and a 14 year old Yorkie in a home in Springfield, MO. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing home to raise and love him, while allowing us the opportunity to show and compete with him in field events. 'G' is the sweetest dork on the planet, but has amazing drive on feather and fur, and has gotten himself in trouble a few times retrieving ground hogs and raccoons for his owners. Garmin is a do-it-all dog for his owners, and goes on amazing hunting trips that I am extremely jealous of! :) Garmin is heavy on the German influence, and is a 5th generation here - and we have been lucky to see many of the imports direct from Germany, Hungary, and Poland behind him. He is OFA Good, Normal Elbows, Normal Eyes, Normal Heart, and CD/LD/DM and Dilute Clear/Non-Carrier. His pedigree is rich with vom Pottsiepen, vom Riverwoods, DC Kurzhaar's Ruger v Haven SH, and several American Champions (National Specialty winning, and multiple group placing dogs).

"Cora" is our liver love, we kept her for her explosive desire and drive in the field. A smaller framed girl, it doesn't stop her from getting in to the thickest and gnarliest cover. She is my go-to waterfowl dog and an amazing guide dog! She has had lots of wild quail and pheasants taken over her in the last season, and hunted amazing in the late season as a puppy. She is PennHip .13/.15 which is in the upper 90% for the breed. She is also Heart Clear, Eyes Clear, and CD/DM/LD and Dilute clear/Non-Carrier. Her pedigree has Dixieland, Hi-Spirits, A-La-Round, and Fieldfine dogs in her immediate background.
