We have been raising GWP for 25 years. For three years we managed a corporate retreat in WY where our dogs got to work every week on guided hunts with our clients. All of our dogs love to hunt but they also love being in the house and socializing with people. They can turn it on and off like a switch. 8 years ago we added Pudelpointers to our kennel. I purchased a male Pudlepointer from Mike in April of 2019, after several months of being on a waiting list. My PP has surpassed all expectations. I have owned an English Springer and a GWP. I've owned GWP's for 12 years and lost one. After that I started looking for a breeder who was breeding my dogs bloodlines. In time I found Mike and Ronna Autrey of Trieben Kennels and I was able to purchase a very rare black and white GWP with my dogs excellent bloodlines. This is a beautiful and rare puppy. We named her Salt and Pepper. She is still a puppy but I am extremely pleased to this point in her training, her personality, and her conformation. These bloodlines have strong hunting heritage, all of my dogs, hunt, point, retrieve and even water retrieve. They are a combination of strong hunting pedigree with excellent show dogs conformation. I have owned a lot of dogs but none hunt better. And Mike and Ronna are good people, fair and honest.
