Northern Star Brittanys is excited to announce a very special litter of pups due 1-1-20! Unlike some of the kennels you see advertising pups non-stop, year round, we carefully plan one, possibly two litters per year. We don't have any females here who are "just brood bitches" who spend their life popping out one litter after another. Our girls have to show us that they're more than just a pretty face or a fancy pedigree - they have to be the total package and be BIRDDOGS as well! GFC/AFC Touch of Bourbon Little Chug - aka Carson - is the sire of our much anticipated litter! Carson is a field trial veteran with a remarkable record - he was Runner Up Champion at the 2015 ABC Gun Dog Nationals and has multiple hour placements in both GOLAA and GOLGD stakes. He's a quiet, laid back dog in the kennel but all business in the field. He's 100% bird dog with tremendous stamina and points his birds with style. He is a proven sire with offspring including DC A Trace of Bourbon With Diamonds who was named Runner-Up Champion at the ABC Gundog Nationals in Booneville in 2019, and AFC Farm Girl Pearl. Carson's sire, NFC DC AFC Ru-Jem's A Touch of Bourbon was selected for the Brittany Field Trial Hall of Family in 2019. Carson is OFA Excellent. Dam of the expected litter is our girl CH Northern Star Katch Me If You Can -aka Kat. Kat is a third generation of our breeding program and this will be her first litter. She's a beautiful liver and white bitch who finished her show championship in August 2019 under the capable hand of Jessica Carlson. Kat is fast and snappy and loves her birds, she points with style and intensity. Kat has been hunted on a variety of birds from Hells Canyon in Idaho to the prairies of South Dakota and Kansas. We look forward to competing with her in hunt tests and NSTRA in 2020. Kat is a sweet and loving girl in the house and wants to please. Kat is OFA Good. There is limited availability for this litter and preference will be given to competition or serious hunting homes. Both orange and white and liver and white pups are expected. This litter will be whelped in North Dakota and I am always willing to assist with transportation. The litter will be Futurity nominated, registration pre-paid and come with a hip and health guarantee. References are available upon request.
