Wingshooter Kennels “Gun Dogs” are outstanding young bird dogs that have spent enormous time in training and orientation to hone their hunting skills and develop a confident maturity. They are trustworthy of their handler and can go quickly into the field. They easily adapt and bond to a new family. Lefty is an athletic full-size Brittany with a dynamic ground game. He has great temperament and a long-legged athletic stride. He has been in our dog training program since whelping and has progressed to becoming a finished bird dog. He has been field tested, hunting wild birds in Nebraska and Kansas as well as helping guide on our controlled shooting hunts. He gets along well with other dogs and multiple hunters. He’s quiet and clean in the kennel and a joy to be around. He has outstanding game drive, is staunch on point, backs naturally and has a swift, but soft mouthed retrieve. He’s been e-collar conditioned and whistle trained. He has moderate to big range but adjusts well to cover and quarry. He does require a seasoned handler to bond with and be able to control his outstanding talent and pace. He’s not for the beginner. He comes from a long line of proven performers and Field Champions.
