About LOCKNLOAD KENNEL, LLCI started training gundogs over 20 years ago. I started with general obedience ( whoa and here training). I expanded this to force fetch to retrieve. When I started to trial in Shoot to Retrieve, I learned to steady a dog on point including on a walking bird. I was leary of using training collars, but I found if they were used right, they were effective as an extension of a checkcord, using the lowest level of stimulation. I developed my own system of steadying a dog up on birds. With this, I have trained 6 personal NSTRA Champions ( four are multipe champions). For other handlers, I have trained 2 Regional Champions, 2 Regional First Runner up Champions plus multiple NSTRA Champions. Although most of my customers do not trial, I train their dogs to handle birds as if they were a broke trial dog. This aids them when they hunt on a preserve when the birds do not fly like wild birds. My references speak well for me.
