We have a 6 month old GSP who is absolutely beautiful, smart and sweet. Though she has amazing hunting instincts, we really were just looking for a family dog. Shallowford Shorthairs really did an outstanding job of "matchmaking"... and helping us to get to know our puppy before she ever came home. We are so pleased and couldn't ask for a better dog. Shallowford really care about the dogs and their new owners, and guaranteeing healthy pups. They are truly the best.

I have a 6 month old from the Astra/Ruckus litter this summer named Olive. While I am not hunting my shorthair (she points the birds in the yard), I will be doing agility and dock diving competitions with her this coming spring. She is highly intelligent and had numerous commands and tricks down in a few days. She was the star of her obedience class and is excelling in her agility class. She is wicked fast. She is highly food driven, but also loves to please. She came to us well socialized and happy. She loves nothing more than crawling underneath the covers with us. I'll be back in a year or so for a male.

Our 5-month old GSP from Shallowford Shorthairs is just amazing! He is from the Astra/Ruckus litter. He was pointing birds the week we brought him home and retreiving the following week. I'm training him to retreive ducks and geese and so far he has learned well above my expectations - comes and releases to the whistle and LOVES doing it. The breader, Kerri, is just fantastic. She is great about sending photos of the litter and keeping you posted about her dogs. We are very pleased with the breeder and plan to get a female in the spring. Our dog is also excellent around other dogs and people and shows no aggression toward them.

We have a 5 month old from the Kistle/King litter this summer and he's a total showstopper! He is very smart and athletic with a fantastic nose. Shallowford Shorthairs (Kerri) kept us up to date from whelping to 8 weeks with emails and facebook pictures - a really unique experience that we loved. We even have a picture of our GSP pointing a wing at 4 weeks old. We highly recommend Shallowford Shorthairs!

It has been a pleasure working with Shallowford Shorthairs. We have a 5 month old (Oliver) from the Summer 2011 Kistle / King litter who is an absolute showstopper. Kerri kept us up to date on the litter and it was so much fun watching the litter & Oliver grow up with photos on facebook until he came home to us. We even have a photo of him pointing immediately at a wing at only 4 weeks! My husband and I highly recommend Shallowford Shorthairs & Kerri!

Falkland Farms Hunting Plantation is located in southside Va. I contacted Shallowford Kennels inquiring about some puppies to add to our hunting staff. We recieved two dogs from Keri, 6 month Wylee, and 8 week old Ella. These dogs will hunt, they don't miss a meal and like to watch tv.

Dash will be 1 in about a month. He arrived to us healthy and well socialized and has turned into a happy, smart young GSP that loves to point birds or be involved in anything else we are doing. Would certainly get another GSP from Shallowford.

I recently got a pup out of one of King's first litters. Mirra is a delight to have in the house and has an exceptional nose for birds and a solid point for being just shy of 16 weeks. She was an easy dog to house train and with her natural ability I see nothing but great things from her in the field. Not to mention her natural retrieving ability from the age of 7 weeks old. I highly recomend getting a puppy out of King if you are looking for a new GSP.

Our experience with Kerri and her line of GSP's has been wonderful. We have a 7 month old male out of Kistle. He is a beautiful dog. His nose is very strong and the instinct to hunt birds is definitely present. He is also extremely intelligent. Despite his streak of stubbornness, he has been very trainable up to this point. He is also very tolerant of our 15 month old son.
Kerri was very flexible and even went out of her way to make sure we had some hands on puppy time before we had to pick.

I have had a magnificent time training my Shallowford pup. He is very eager to learn, and a super worker. His nose is excellent, and though still young, is showing remarkable progress towards becomming an excellent field dog. This breeder is very professional, helpful, and well organized. As all dog lovers know, that is a major step in a pleasant puppy experience.

My puppy Sadie has just turned a year, and what a wonderful year it has been! She is an amazing dog! She is super playful, and gets along well with all dogs and humans. She is bright, and learns quickly. She has a high prey drive, and would make a great hunting companion (she was already pointing at 8 weeks)! We have not had any health issues with her, and would highly recommend Kerri and John as breeders. They are wonderful, and even took Sadie back and dogsat while we were home for the holidays. They love their furry friends a great deal, and continue to care and look out for the pups who have gone to their new homes, which speaks volumes of their commitment to the breed!

Betty is a little over a year old and is absolutely wonderful! She's smart, gorgeous, and adores us and her other four-legged friends. All of Kerri and John's dogs are very personable and very well cared for and their facility is a great set up for the dogs. Highly recommended!

We bought our GSP from Shallowford approximately 2 yrs ago. Shayla has been the perfect puppy and growing in to a fabulous dog. She is a quick learner and just loves to please and loves a job. On top of all that she has quite a funny personality which makes us laugh a lot. Thanks Shallowford for breeding such a great dog!

Kerri with Shallowford Shorthairs was a delight to work with. My GSP is now a year old and she is the light of my life. Rhea is smart, healthy, and has beautiful markings. I would and have recommended future German Shorthaired Pointers owners to get in touch with them!
