Our Yara is such a smart girl. She is friendly and has been excellent with other dogs as well as new people. She has plenty of energy and a great nose, but she is still calm and gentle when we are enjoying family time. We are really excited to see how she does pheasant hunting because she has shown so much intelligence in practicing so far. She also has a really goofy personality!

Dealing with Gene was great. He met me three hours from his house to deliver Maddie my pup. She is a healthy beautiful example of the breed. She is coming along in her bird training and one of the easiest dogs I’ve ever had around the house. Super smart and house broken from day one.

We picked up our second Griff from Gene two weeks ago; a beautiful 11 week old (as of today) female we've named Pepper. She has settled in well with our 10 month old Griff (also a female Fiji Islands Griff from Gene) and is getting into a routine. Both dogs have great dispositions and get along well with each other and our 13+ year old Labrador Retriever. Pepper got her second round of shots and a big thumbs up from our vet a couple of days after we brought her home. She is smart, affectionate, curious, and playful and we're really enjoying her!

After researching Griffons and a number of breeders in the midwest, I contacted Gene before Mila was bred and stopped by to visit her and his two other Griffs. He was very accommodating and then kept me updated on the breeding and pregnancy. I visited our pup 8 days after she was born and then we picked her up at about 9.5 weeks old. Gene kept us updated with photos and videos during the early weeks of her life. Sadie is almost 12 weeks old now and has settled into our home with no problems at all. She has had only 1/2 an accident in the house (she squatted and I picked her up and got her outside with only a few drops on the floor) and has developed a great routine for meals and "doing her business;" remarkable so such a young dog. She gets along well with our 13 year old female yellow Lab and has a delightful personality; curious, smart, and energetic while still willing to cuddle and have her tummy rubbed...a lot! She is compliant with personal care (checking eyes, ears, mouth, paws, nails) and grooming. She has also learned to sit on command and is becoming accustomed to walking on a leash (though it's early for that). We're looking forward to starting obedience training with Sadie and to her being a part of our family for many years. In fact, I suspect we'll be seeing Gene for another pup when our older Lab departs for the great beyond (if that's okay with you, Gene!).

We have purchased two Griffs from Gene and couldn’t be happier. Our first griff is now almost 3 years old and is the best dog we have ever owned. She has an excellent temperament and is extraordinarily smart. We recently purchased our second pup from Gene and she, just like Sheila, is intelligent, has a perfect disposition and is fearless. Like typical Griffs, both girls are fun loving and goofy, but are fiercely loyal.
The process of purchasing the dogs was extraordinarily easy and Gene is wonderful about communicating and sharing pictures. We highly recommend him if you are thinking of purchasing a griff in the future.

We found Gene through this website when his litter was just a week old and were happy to find he still had just a few puppies left. After putting down a deposit, Gene sent weekly email updates and pictures of the litter and allowed us to Skype at any time to see them. We were able to do a quick road to pick up our girl from his home and the process was a breeze. She is an amazing dog- very smart, wonderful personality and perfectly healthy. As an added bonus, we are able to stay in contact with the owners of this litter as well as his first on facebook. It has been a wonderful resource and a great place to chat about Griffs. Gene is a loving and caring breeder. His pups have excellent dispositions and are happy, happy, happy dogs. Our vet is blown away by Layla's bone structure and hips and says she hasn't seen a dog that well put together in a long time.
