Re: linebreeding ?Why not go to the source? http://members.dcn.org/ctyson/
Or you could go with FC AFC Cuda's Blue Ryder MH son, HRCH Trinity's Riptide Ryder MH CGC: http://www.trinitylabs.net/Trinity's%20 ... igree.html
Re: linebreeding ?that was my plan to breed to ryder then go back to cuda from there. but i dont know how mr tyson feels about linebreeding. breeding cuda back to his grand daughter. also he is an eic carrier have to be careful about that. does anyone have knowledge about eic, and if it could just show up through line breeding. over generations even without breeding 2 carriers together. with just one parent being a carrier.
Re: linebreeding ?My understanding is that as long as you don't breed two EIC carriers together that you should't get any affected pups.
I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am!

Re: linebreeding ?I agree. 2 carriers = affecteds. Talk to Katie Minor, EIC project cooridinator. She'll be able to give you the facts, and research to back them up.
As far as breeding Cuda back to his granddaughter, looking at gooddoginfo, there have been / are numerous dogs that have the same grandparents being bred to each other. For example, http://www.gooddoginfo.com/gdc/asp/view ... ogNo=97513. Also, half neice to half uncle: http://www.gooddoginfo.com/gdc/Asp/view ... ogNo=77611 I don't think that Mr. Tyson would have a problem with it as long as there were no affected pups of EIC and/or CNM. But remember with linebreeding, you double up on both the good AND bad.
Re: linebreeding ?One thing to remember here, it is not just about linebreeding. It is about producing good, solid puppies. Don't go trying to linebreed because you feel like it, know the dogs that you are working with and what they produced.
Re: linebreeding ?Linebreeding is great, it you are careful. You compound the positive traits, but just remember that you are also compounding any negative traits as well.
