Close working

Who are some of the breeders out there that produce close working Shorthairs that hunt but are not hyper. Been looking at the adds on the web and they all say they do but I have know idea. Asked my dad but he raised shorthairs in the seventies so he laughed and admitted he had no idea because things have changed so much. I am looking for a pup that comes from close working lines with a good build such is a blocky head. I have raised beagles since the early nineties andson has decided he wants to own a shorthair and train it from pup. Any help would appreciated thanks.

I know a breeder that has a few puppies on the ground that might be what you are looking for.
I also have a 2yrold black female that has hunted since 6 months that has a very nice block head and
has hunted grouse and woodcock exclusively.
