trainers/classes for puppies?

Postby Playtime » Thu Jul 22, 2010 11:07 am

Hi Everyone,

I'm from ontario and was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good trainer or club i could get myself and a new puppy into for field training and trials? I've never done this type of dog training before, so i would really like to work with someone as opposed to reading a book and then trying it myself.

Thanks!

I am planning to train my puppy, but I am not getting a proper trainer for it. I think your links can help me out. I would prefer a trainer rather than training my puppy by own. I want a professional trainer to do my task. For further information I would like to go through your links and if got something relevant will definitely follow it.

My grandpa used to always take his Brittney's to a trainer in Toronto. The guy specialized in pointer breeds and had an 8 week course for the basic obedience training. That cost him around $500 for the program. Then there was a 3 week course specializing in the tracking, retrieval, and flushing. That cost him an extra $350. The dogs liked him and took to the training. So, I think it was worth it, eh? :P

Um Brittanys are a pointing breed..they are not taught to flush and I have never heard of sending a Bird dog or hunting dog for 8 weeks of obedience training.

I am only posting this for those new people who are looking for real answers to understand what breeds are supposed to be trained for . and it is very obvious that you have no idea from all your other posts and I can not just sit idly by for some serious new person to think what you are posting is to be taken in any credible manner

As your last post you make a comment as to you hear brittanys are hyper but yet here you tell a story of how your grandpa had brittanys you post about training questions but yet in all your post you have that link to the dog training secret.

Just calling it as I am reading and seeing your posts just in case people are missing them :(

Pupplover, if all you wish to do is sell videos there is a place to do that on this forum. Please use that place and don’t pollute the other posts.
