I feed Purina Pro Plan Performance (30/20) to all my adult GSP's. It is about $41.00 for a 37.5 lb bag. It is great for their coats and keeps their Liver nice and dark. I also like that it does not contain Brewers Yeast ( a known alergy triger). All of my puppies get Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy which runs about $40.00 for a 34 lb bag. Pro Plan has been changing the recipes around, and it seems to take more to feed these days, with a lower calorie level in the food. They also have been dropping the bag weight and upping the price. I might be interested in switching to another brand if it did not contain brewers yeast, and I could get 10 bags delivered at a time. I definately would like to keep the 30/20 level and chicken base.

You should give Native a try, I think you will like it. We can get fleet farm to sell a pallet of PP performance for 29 $ a bag. 36 for singles. There are quite a few people in the trial croud I know that have switched to it and everyone is having the same results. I don't know if they do that delivery program every where, but if Kent has a wholesaler near you they most likely will. It realy is a great food. I would go back to some proplan performance if I had trouble. But now I doub't I will. I have seen where so many different dogs do different things on different foods, but it's neat the way this has been working for so many with the same results. When it first came out they had gas issues, but a change cleared that up.

hi i looked at allot of dog foods and the 2 that i have found that are decent priced are native made by kent feeds this is the highest protein on the market at 35% with 25% fat. this also has no CORN . if you have a dog food that has corn in the 2 or 3 spot in the ingredients they are using that as a filler . there is now nutritional value to it at all. NATIVE comes with 4 levels and bags for 40 is about 38.00 but you dont have to feed a ton due to how high you can get the protein . the other is buckeye feeds pro kennel this is about 30% protein with 25% about . but this also has no corn in it. and again you do not to feed as much . bags run about 28 to 30 for 40lbs.my gshp have been able to keep there weight up during hunting and going to trials.if you want to look under there web site go to BUCKEYE FEEDS and KENT FEEDS . you can get these dog foods at grains mills . farmfamily&home they have the native dog food. go to your local feed mill and ask if they have buckeye feeds if they do they can get the dog food for you.

you may want to look in to Native (kent feeds) and pro kennel ( buckeye feeds) . Native has the highest protein on the market at 35% and all natural with no corn . corn is a filler and can cause allergy's .i have never heard that brewers yeast to cause allergy's.you can get the native at farmfamily&home and you can get the the buckeye at a feed mill that sells it just go to your local feed store.

Tried a lot of different brands. Wanted a high quality food at an affordable price. When you buy 600# a month, $ are a factor.
Whoever said you can’t buy happiness never had a new puppy!

I feed Pro Plans Performance Formula, been feeding it since it came out and fed large breed before that. Gunner loves it and he seems to do quite well. I'll keep him on it unless things change.
