I checked around on the price a couple months ago. Was about the $150-$180 range by several Vets.

WOW!

Those are some scarry prices! I wonder if in those areas if the reason might be that there aren't a lot of vets who offer the service. Do you have troubel finding someone to do it?

In Oregon, I get mine done for $175, and that is for hips and elbows both. That excludes the fee to OFA for the exam of the radiographs, but the fee to my vet is $175. He does excellent work, and is able to get great shots without anesthetizing the dog. I can be in and out of the office in 30-40 minutes, and that includes my review of the radiographs before I leave, so that I know what kind of grade to expect from OFA.

For the cost some of you have posted, you would be money ahead to travel.
