Trouble with Tri-Tronics Transmitter?

Postby Colt » Fri Jan 22, 2010 6:45 am

I am experiencing trouble with my Tri-Tronics Pro-500 transmitter. I have to fiddle with the power setting knob to get it to work on any given power setting. It is frustrating, when I want to jump up from a 2 to a 3 (or any other power level) I turn the knob to the desired level, then flip the collar-transmit button to a collar that is not on the dog, play with the setting-knob until the light comes on (it is transmitting), then flip it back to the correct collar. Needless to say, I am missing the correction window.

Has anyone had similar trouble?

I will be contacting Tri-tronics today and will repost on the final outcome.

The collar clinic will be able to help you too, You will Like the TT product once you get it fixed, I had one fixed and had no trouble after 10 years, now have Dogtra collars but I like both, they both are great equipment and all will have a glitch now and then. But they will take car of you.

We can accept trade-ins, if you have an old collar, and want an upgrade. We carry DT Systems Collars. I'd
recommend the DT Systems H20 Series they are waterproof and very good warranty.
