Bought an inexpensive enclosed trailer and did it up the way I wanted. It can hold up to 16 dogs, water, food and gear and I spent half the money than anything close. I do have a lot of time into it, but anyone that is in the dog business knows you never get paid for all of that. :D

How 'bout the grand tour? Any pictures of the inside? Very cool 8-)

You can checkout the flat beds here from Aluma LTD. The 66" X 86" model is the one that I have. It was $1650 and my neighbor installed it for me for free since I bought the truck from his car lot. One problem I am running into is the bed scrapes on the tires if I am really loaded down. I am looking into airbags or helper springs to get me some extra payload. I really don't want to lift it since I want the bed at a reasonable height for loading/unloading dogs. I still use the plastic crates when I am transporting more than 4 dogs to the pheasant farm or training grounds.

The plastic crates are great in the summer or when i have my wifes SUV but in my 1500 pick up it crowded (they don't fit in the S-10) and i thinks it just too cold in the Illinois winter to have them in the bed. so i would like to have a setup like yours but maybe four boxes on each side and a Trailer like ranger built then i would be set for the up coming training season

Blue River Kennel,
What kind of station wagon do you have? I have been thinking of doing the same thing. I need to retire my Suburban. The Suburban is great and I have had a couple over the years, but need to go for more economy.
