A year ago last Christmas I bought a new CZ Ringneck sxs shotgun in a 16ga and have loved it. The shotgun fits me well and right out of the box I shot it well. I have been impressed with the quality of the material and craftsmanship for the price. I think the oil finish lock is attractive, the action is crisp and the trigger is not too bad (a touch mushy). The wood is not the fanciest, but it's to be expected for the price. (Good factory stock wood is next to impossible to come by, notice how everyone is going to laminate, plastic and veneer-wrapped stocks.)
I have put several thousand rounds through the gun hunting doves, quail, chukars, pheasants, sage-grouse, flushed ducks, and clay pigeons and have loved it. The 12ga has choke tubes, where as the 16 did not. I was willing to live with that because of my love for the 16. The gun has extractors rather than ejectors, which I like because I reload and would rather take the hulls out the action as they are presented, as opposed to blocking hulls as they are ejected or picking them off the ground (personal preferance). I looked at the Bobwhite model (strait English stock) and the Ringneck (semi-gripped stock) and felt the ringneck fit me better and therefore bought that one.
If you are looking for a new side by side the CZ is a great value at under $1000. This is especially true when you compare it to the other junk that is out there in that price range.
