Lovable Year Old Male For Adoption~Adopted - Labrador Retrievers in Mauckport, Indiana - DixieRunLabradors

We are looking to place this sweet boy to a loving home,he is very special ..however he will need extra attention and love..he has been neglected in the past-was not fed and hit by a car..he was taken immediately to our vet ....vet said he was indeed neglected and hit by a car by his previous owners..
He has been in our care for about 6-7 months..he has gained weight on heartworm prevention etc..
Sadly,he does not get along with other dogs due to his past neglect..Therefore,he needs to be the only dog..he loves kids but needs to be place with older children..
Sometimes he has no control of his back legs due to being hit- vet thinks he is not in pain but will continue to
run like a duck(almost waddle) at times..The vet doesn't know if he will be in pain later in his life--this is unknown...we just pray he doesn't..
We are looking for a FOREVER home..one that has experience in the labrador breed..vet reference is required!
With the right home he will be free

I know,it sounds like a lot of bad things about Copper but he is a very loving boy..He loves to please,get treats and play a game of tennis ball in the yard..His favorite toy is the big Jolly Ball..He loves to carry it in his mouth and prance around the yard..He wants to be by your side at all times...He will sit right next to you and give you kisses constantly..He has a Huge heart and is full of love..
