Cougar and Bobcat hound, 2 year old female - Treeing Walker Coonhounds in Roseburg, Oregon - Cascade Walkers Kennel

Claire is a nearly finished UKC registered hound. She has been on 16 cougar and 120+ bobcat, all start to finish.

She has a medium cold nose, good track speed, and can locate her own tree. Good temperment with other dogs and people. Nice bawl mouth on track and shorter bawl on tree.Trained & hunted in rough, steep & rocky mountains, this dog works equally well on bare ground or snow. She has always been worked with straight dogs, and has never bothered trash. This dog will finish out to be a nice all around cat dog if she is hunted hard another season.

She is in excellent health, but due to a problem in her first heat cycle she was spayed on the reccomendation of my vetrenarian.

I have bred and trained this strain of treeing walker for over 40 years and hunted cougar for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on 3 seperate studies. I currently hunt bobcat for fun and do cougar damage control for area ranchers. Extensive references are available upon request.
