Jake is a 4yr old, Liver/Roan Patched and Ticked son of VC Jacob VD Westwind MH UT1 and dam is out of Jaegerhofs Sir Henry Higgins MH x Indian Brook's Emmy MH. Jake's parents and grandparents are a perfect example of the genetics behind the some of the most prominent hunt test dogs in the country.

Genetically Jake has the "goods". Thus making his offspring healthy and genetically sound. He has the following Health Clearances;

*OFA Hips- Excellent

*OFA Elbows- Normal

*Eyes- Clear

Pointing with a high head and tail, lots of style as well when honoring. Great nose, was trained to Master Level but has been used as a gundog for the past 2 years and is now Steady to Wing. Natural retrieve to hand, Obedience, Sits and Heels, Whoa Broke, Honors naturally, loads to truck. Jake is great in the field with other dogs of any breed or sex, all business when hunting. Hunts at a medium range but will pull in or head out if called or allowed. He's one of the nicest dogs we've owned, superior temperament, very intelligent and easy to train. He loves to work and birds are his passion. Jake is a proven producer of quality pups that were being guided over professionally this fall 2012 by kennel owners and trainers here in Iowa. All pups were holding their birds till flush and retrieving naturally by 6 months of age!

Jake has been run this past December in the UGA Hunt Test (Upland Gundog Association) and has achieved his Gundog Title in the Pointing division. Jake will also has 3 Legs out of 4 Completed for his AKC Junior Title. Once completed Jake will be Dual Titled.
