Our pups are OFA certified, PRA cleared and come with a 3 year guarantee. Health, temperament and performance are our #1 breeding goals. Our breeding program is 10 to 12 generations of non related breeding. We do not line breed or inbreed our dogs. They are genetically healthier golden's by out crossing with unrelated lines.

Muddy Meadows Skyline Scout

Scout is a Decoy daughter. She weights 68 pounds. Scout is a great obedience dog and has one leg in UKC hunt tests. She loves the birds and actually watchs the sky! She has a wonderful character and is the clown of our house. If she gets in trouble she smiles like a little naughty kid. She loves to retrieve and has a wonderful golden loving nature. We look forward to medium and dark colors in her litter.

A Muddy Meadow retriever is a high quality investment that will bring its
owner many years of enjoyment, they are very versatile dogs that can ware
many different hats so to speak. Weather you are in the field hunting or at a
nursing home doing Therapy work, or taking a nap this dog can and will be by
your side asking you what you want him to do next....

Our dogs are first and for most our family pets, we strive to better and
enhance the breed to be workable, happy, healthy and knowledgeable pets that
like to learn.
We do show our dogs in obedience, we have fun with them running hunt tests,
our family loves to compete against each other as to WHO has the smartest
dog. Training is fun and enjoyable for our dogs. Our dogs love rally, agility
and dock dog jumping. Goldens will get up and work as a wonderful performance
dog, when you come home they will kick back and watch the tube. They are
amazing friends that just want to make you happy.

Anyone that would like to come and visit with us are more then welcome, we
love to visit with other dog lovers, to share our stories and yours!

Now ACCEPTING deposits on our 2013 litters.
We spend lots of hours and effort in giving each individual puppy attention
so they are sure of themselves before they are in new homes.

Pups will be given age appropriate shots and wormings.

Pups also will have a health certificate and
a physical examine verification/shot record from our vet.

Pups come with a care package which includes:
Blanket with moms sent on it, collar, leash, dog food, toys and a starter
puppy folder with your health records & training tips. AKC registration
application.

A schedule for recommended vet visits will be provided in your puppy packets.

By week five your pups will know to go potty outside and how to use a puppy
potty door!! This makes your potty training efforts much less. Clean puppy
beds always makes smarter pups. They don't like to make a mess in the house
and cry to go out!! With our years of experience we do our best to produce
you the highest quality golden that is free of faults.

Captain is an all around wonderful golden. He not only loves to hunt, he is a Therapy dog, he has several service dogs that he has sired. He is a great house dog, his obedience classes were as though he had mastered them before. He has his SHR completed and he would rather be duck hunting then sitting around looking pretty! Captain weights 85 pounds, he has a strong build, correct confirmation and has wonderful babies with great working attitude and color.

Puppies:

Our puppy picking process

We choose puppies for families based on your description that is given in your application , emails and our conversations. Matching begins after the pups are 6 1/2 weeks old. Our process is "not" a 1st come 1st pick process. We work with families for our choosing process. We test our puppies and do know their personalities for home preferences. We will ask you for your top 3 picks when the pups are 6 weeks old. We always try to place hunting pups with hunting families, pups that have the calmest nature with families that have 8 year old and under children. If we have a call for a service dog or therapy dog, we will chose a very willing and focused pup for that buyer. Color is a preference , we will do our best to fit your wants and needs as close as we can. These are all examples of what we are watching for while your pups are growing. We will talk about what your looking for as far as personality, willingness and activity level needed.
